This summer, Gold Coast Rotary Club and the Broadbeach Collective are staging the Gold Coast Ramble @ Broadbeach on 2 February 2025 - a unique and innovative outdoor team event open to all levels of fitness - family and wheelchair friendly.

Part of this year’s 'Beats and Eats Festival' in the Broadbeach Mall, the Ramble is a great opportunity to get your friends, family and colleagues together to enjoy a fun-filled day in the Broadbeach Precinct, whilst raising money for a worthy local charity, supporting survivors of domestic violence.

The Ramble can best be described as a car rally on foot, with teams of costumed participants exploring the parks, malls and streets of Broadbeach, following clues to locate 20 to 30 checkpoints over 2 hours. This year, the theme for costumes is something beginning with ‘B.'

The event will start and finish at the stage in the Broadbeach Mall. At each checkpoint, teams use the Goosechase App to download a challenge about the immediate area - this could relate to heritage, the natural environment, street art, or current infrastructure. The app will include team photos and videos.

Ramble is a fun community event that is enjoyed by all ages!

For families with younger children, there will be interactive activities at the checkpoints and you do not have to complete every checkpoint to have fun and win prizes.

But if you are more competitive, you can work as a team and strategise to try to complete all of the checkpoint challenges in the allocated time!

Prizes are awarded not only to the highest-point scoring team but also to the best-costumed team with plenty of random draw prizes.

An Opportunity to support the survivors of Domestic Violence
Your team is encouraged to support victims of domestic violence through our nominated charity Rizeup by seeking sponsorship donations. The incentive being that each donation will earn additional event points - every $10 donation gains the team an additional point up to a maximum of 100 points ($1,000 team sponsorship). Your team members will be able to get their friends and work colleagues to sponsor their team.
