"Because we don't just not know about food. We not know about everything."

Get Krack!n
is a merciless parody of morning TV written by and starring Kate McLennan and Kate McCartney, of The Katering Show. The two Kates host the "early, early show" (made for a 3am time slot to coincide with mid-morning in the US). They discuss health and wellness trends (turmeric curing everything), fashion (how to wear a sarong, and how "some eyelids are wrong"), and the challenges of being a working mother in a frank, no holds barred, hilarious way. Language warning- the Kates swear a LOT, and very creatively. They have no time for sexism, and aren't afraid to bring up issues to do with race. The segment on reconciliation with Aboriginal Australians is particularly barbed.

Get Krack!n is a smart, funny, feminist comedy that provides a welcome antidote to annoying daytime TV and commercial television in general. The complete first season is streaming on iView.
