Unleash your inner film geek
Put yourself on the big screen and try out this fun Fringe Festival event.
Launching on Friday, 25 January, FTI will debut an interactive screen installation in the Perth Cultural Centre, that allows anyone and everyone an opportunity to be right in the middle of the action of various genre based film scenes.
Utilising a green screen booth, you will be inserted into selected classic films scenes which will then be beamed onto the James St Amphitheatre "Super-Screen". How you act and react to what's on screen will be up to you.
Wendi Graham and Noah Norton of Balthazaar Media have come up with this novel concept and the original screen content to give you many different parts to play to suit a myriad of acting personalities.
Want to be a fitness star? Try a workout in an 80's style montage. Maybe you want to win back your one true love in an over-the-top, but oh-so-romantic soap opera.
Break out those Kung Fu skills to avenge your Master sensei, or escape from Perth in an Atari-style video game. Best of all, there's a chance to power suit up, lift those Clark Kent glasses, and save the day as a superhero in an action packed scene to be seen.
Want to share your experience with your online friends? Bring everyone to the party and YouTube it right from the Perth Cultural Centre, with footage from the big screen able to be uploaded onto social media.
Head to the Get Into Film launch on Friday, 25 January at 4.00pm and you may just score some free passes to the Bohemia Outdoor Cinema as well.
