You don't need to travel to Germany to immerse yourself in the vibrant culture, rich history, and traditions of Germany, because German Week is coming to you from 20-27 October 2024. Back in Melbourne after many years, put the dates in your diary and look forward to a series of cultural, culinary, artistic and industry-focused events at various locations. From engaging panel discussions to exciting cultural events, each part of the week is crafted to strengthen the ties between the two nations and to celebrate the rich and diverse contributions of the German community in Melbourne. This is your invitation to explore, participate in, and enjoy everything German Week has to offer. Whether it's German food, cultural events, music or business networking, there's something for everyone.

20 Oct 10am-4pm at - Foosball Academy - some call it table soccer or table football - a quintessential part of German culture

21 Oct 6-8pm - Opening Night - this is an invitation-only event

21-26 Oct - Oktoberfest - celebrate Oktoberfest at Hofbräuhaus (follow link for details of Oktoberfest)

22-26 Oct - Taste of Germany - lunch and dinners at Hofbräuhaus featuring a special menu

22 Oct 7-9pm - German Pub Trivia - trivia is free, and there's $12 - 500ml Bavarian Bier on tap & Spritzer specials

23 Oct 6.30-9pm - Movie Night - one night only screening of 'I'm Your Man' - welcome drink included

24 Oct - The German Way of Doing Business (6.30-8pm) & Café Klatsch (3.30-5pm) at Bayswater South Primary

25 Oct - German Careers Day (9am-1.30pm) at Melb Uni & German Opera (6-10pm) Martha at Bayside Quarter
