Gerbino's is a local, family-run Italian pasticceria and bakery offering quality handmade bread, savouries, cakes and pastries following traditional recipes and methods.



Gerbino's is located in Ashgrove Avenue, near Newmarket. Every day, bakers and pastry chefs work hard to prepare the most delicious pastries, cakes and bread.

Gerbino's has been in Ashgrove for a few years, since the beginning of 2000. I have been going to Gerbino's since then for coffee, cakes, pastries, pie and biscuits and birthday cakes. In the beginning, I was going with friends and now I visit Gerbino's with my family too.

The coffee at Gerbino's is very nice, freshly brewed and there is a great range of foods to pair up with great coffee.



Gerbino's offers a delicious range of cakes perfect for celebrations and many occasions. You can choose from Chocolate Hazelnut Almond Mud Cake (gluten-free), Chocolate Mud Cake, Limoncello Italian Cake, Tartufo Bacio and Semifreddo Tiramisu. The cakes start at $45.

Italian Torta has layers of Strega-soaked vanilla sponge with chocolate and vanilla custard finished with fresh cream rosette, diced almonds, seasonal fruits and chocolate shards. Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert made with savoiardi dipped in coffee liquor between layers of mascarpone cream and covered in white chocolate shards.

Diplomatica cake is made with vanilla sponge, Strega liquor, sandwiched between layers of vanilla custard and puffy pastry. It is then decorated with flakes of pastries and fresh cream.







Gerbino's is also famous for preparing the most beautiful cannoli, a Sicilian classic sweet with vanilla cream, chocolate or creamy ricotta filling.



Mouthwatering handmade biscuits made from scratch await you at Gerbino's. There are many types of biscotti, all different, expressing the real classic taste of Italy.









Gerbino's produces the most amazing croissants, almond croissants, Danish, hot cross buns and a huge range of pies.







The atmosphere is very relaxing and the store wants to recreate the colours of Sicily.



The rustic wall is in perfect harmony with the bakery. There are many beautiful paintings on the walls for sale and if you fall in love with one of them, you can take it home with you.











In the savoury section, you can find rolls, pies, traditional arancini, which are rice balls filled with Bolognese ragu and mozzarella cheese, lasagne, quiches, pizza, spinach and ricotta rolls, spanakopita bites.

As a bakery, Gerbino's produces great and fresh bread, including Ciabatta Sourdough Filone, Focaccia, Gourmet Fruit Loaf, Multigrain Sliced Bread, Wholemeal and White. Rye bread and White Bread Rolls.

Gerbino's has also a great variety of cakes, cannoli and biscuits gluten-free, so everyone can enjoy all those beautiful goodies.

For Christmas, Gerbino's prepares fresh and delicious Panettone and Pandoro, a collection of handmade Christmas biscuits, Gingerbread Houses, Traditional Fruit Cakes, Rum Balls, Fruit Mince Pies, Crostata di cioccolato e nocciole, Panforte di Siena, Baba in Strega Liquor.
