Quench your thirst on science this 23rd of August when Geoscience Australia opens its doors for the annual open day as part of the National Science Week celebration.



Visitors can get involved and participate in a variety of talks, tours, and stimulating activities throughout the day which will surely captivate their minds – viewing Australia in 3D, identifying the age of rocks, panning for gold, monitoring earthquakes, even spotting a roving dinosaur.

Got any intricate questions about minerals, earthquakes, rocks, fossils or satellites? There will be Australia's prominent geoscientists in the house who are more than happy to provide responses to any of the above topics.

GA has a line-up of jam-packed activities for the whole family so make sure to check the programme schedule . You will surely find a handful of exhilarating things to do that will suit your interests.
