Along with the well-priced meal is the view from this restaurant. It is absolutely stunning, and an amazing place to take visitors to Brisbane. You get 180-degree views of the river. Stay long enough and day turns to night so you can watch the Story Bridge as it lights up, and the boats dotted along the river will turn on their running lights, creating a magical light show in the water.
You can enjoy all of this from inside the lovely, spacious surrounds that come complete with white table cloths and blue trim that may remind you of your last trip to Greece. If you have a mind to sit outside it would be good to mention this when reserving as there are limited spots.
They also know that good service is important, winning an award for excellence in 2016. Everyone looks very sharp in their white shirts, ties and black trousers. Our waiter Buit, was a pleasant and thorough young man, who has been with George's for 1 1/2 years and it shows. He was cheerful, efficient, and had a great smile, he was also very good at his job. We never wanted for anything, never had to fill a glass, or ask for anything as he was right there, without ever being in the way.
This was our third time to George's and we were just as pleased this time as we were the first time. And this time, like the last two, I ordered the Chicken paragon. My hubby likes seafood and had the chowder to start then switched to Carbonara, which is one of his favourites.
Topping it off with dessert we had the Sticky Date Pudding, always a favourite, and this time it too was just as exceptional as the last time.
