The George St Bistro is an intimate little restaurant found in the back streets of East Fremantle. This unique restaurant is extremely popular and has a loyal following of clientele, and it's obvious why. The food is fantastic with generous sized portions and the staff are brilliant, they are so helpful and they obviously know their stuff.

There is an extensive menu at the George St Bistro, featuring a variety of entrées, main meals and desserts. For an entrée try the Basil and Tomato Risotto ($24.00) or one of the tasting platters to share ($32.00), for main meals how about Oven Roasted Duck ($40.00) or Crisp Skin Salmon Fillet ($41.00). To finish off your meal have one of their delicious desserts; Crème Brulee ($13.00) or Soft Pavlova Roulade ($13.00).

All the meals are great at the George St Bistro but the absolutely best one to have there is brunch. Breakfast is served from 8am to 11.30am and lunch is served from 11.30am to 3pm so you have plenty of time to get in there and you can easily take a very long brunch break and sample from both menus. The breakfast menu has lots of options like the Full Cooked Breakfast which starts with the basic bacon, eggs, tomato, mushrooms, sausages and beans ($19.00). You can add extras like black pudding or smoked salmon, to this or any other dish, for about another $5.00. You can also get delicious pancakes or croissants for breakfast. The lunch menu has a lot more fantastic dishes to choose from like the Frittata or Quiche ($16.00), Arancini Balls (13.00) or the Pork Schnitzel ($20.00).

The George St Bistro & Merchants has a fabulous deli, attached to the restaurant, full of continental food stuffs and international cheeses. They have a range of home-made pies, sausage rolls and pasties, a huge selection of international mustards and spices, home-made cakes and the finest chocolates and coffees. They can provide delicious platters; cheese, antipasto or assorted finger foods, for your next party or special occasion.

The George St Bistro & Merchants is the perfect place for a long, lazy Sunday brunch with family or friends. You can relax and enjoy the day, sitting inside or outside in the sun, watching the world go by and enjoy a fantastic meal, taking your time to savour every morsel. Why not give it a try, you will be sure to go back again and again.
