General Public has recently opened. It is inspired and appropriately named as it caters to everyone. We (two adults and two kids) ended up at General Public on the suggestion of a young person. It's situated in Dingley Village. The Moorabbin Costco is a street up and there is ample parking.

As it is a reconfigured factory. It is a large space with a high roof and set out into sections.

There is an arcade games section, bowling section, a cafe/bar section and pool playing/table tennis playing section. It is set out so that if you wanted to watch your kids playing arcade games and have a cup of coffee/tea, you can.

As we went in, the kids were immediately drawn to the arcade games, so that was the first thing we did. For $20, the kids got $24 worth of value.

Whilst they were playing, we went and sat down at a lovely wooden table. The kids were occupied for a good amount of time whilst we had time to have a drink and decide what we wanted from the menu. The seats were wide and the tables are long, offering lots of room for a big family.

People were playing in the arcade and bowling alley but the noise didn't disturb our ability to hear and talk to each other.

We ordered the calamari, a burger, ribs and a pizza for the kids. The kids were satisfied with the pizza and the burger, and all of it was eaten up, including most of the chips (as the serving size was manageable for growing kids).

The calamari was melt in the mouth, so tender and delicious.

The pork ribs also fell off the bone and I was impressed that the barbeque sauce was homemade.

I noticed a gelato bar and dessert section and directly across from it, a sweets bar.

There were also a couple of additional sections where you could sit and supervise the kids in the arcade or a hidden away section, if you want a bit more privacy.

I'll definitely be back with the tribe.
