Gelatissimo, Noosa Heads
Ice cream is something a lot of people want to get right. There is not necessarily a 'bad' ice cream, but there are definitely some that are better than others.
Gelatissimo, in Hasting Street, Noosa is one such place where you won't find a bad ice cream. From Belgian Chocolate
to Macadamia and Caramel
to Blood Orange
, or Raspberry
sorbet there is no shortage of options to choose from.
There are a great range of smooth and creamy ice creams with all manner of flavours that you can enjoy in either a cup or a fresh waffle cone; or if dairy isn't your thing, you can choose from their impressive selection of sorbets in a variety of mouth-watering flavours.
After opting for two flavours in a cup, separately, they were fabulous though it's perhaps prudent to note that Choc Mint
perhaps isn't the best thing to pair with Veronese Chocolate
(keep an eye out for actual chunks of Ferrero Rocher). Having said that, the White Chocolate
sorbet was perfect together. There was even the added bonus of free warm Nutella drizzle.
Being only a stone's throw away from the beach and with direct access right across the road, Gelatissimo is the perfect place to grab an ice cream and head to the sand, or the boardwark for ice cream and a great view. Their website Gelato by Gelatissimo
, boasts coffees, and sundaes and lots of other delightful things, though they weren't sampled at the time.
While it definitely isn't the only ice cream parlour on Hasting Street, it is certainly one of the best. The staff are friendly, the location is somewhat central along the street, oh, and the ice cream is fabulous. They even have a mailing list that allows you to become a VIP customer. Having said that however, this writer is still waiting for their email.
Located on the outside of Bay Village on Hastings and just outside Cato's Restaurant, Gelatissimo is definitely the place to go for authentic ice cream and sorbet that you'll want to revisit again and again.
