Geelong Vintage Market faces Melbourne Road in North Geelong. As you come over the bridge near Hendersons and Pilkingtons you can see the Vintage Market, on your left, on the corner of Melbourne Road and Mackie St, at the traffic lights.
At Geelong Vintage Market expect to see vintage clothing, shoes, boots, hats, coats, rustic furniture, second hand books, music memorabilia, vinyl records, industrial furniture, 70s clothing and more. This is truly a great destination for a day trip and lunch if you are looking for things to do in Geelong.
I was there today and I was just wide eyed and could not believe that there is so much to see at the Geelong Vintage Market. I saw drums, toys, wooden furniture, coats, shoes, high chairs, a life size figure of Michael Jordan, and the list goes on. I think I could go back two or three times for a few hours at a time, and still not see everything in the Vintage Market.
The Vintage Market also has The Picker's Union Café within the main building. The Pickers Union Café could be described as cute retro. The wife and husband team, Bek Lah and Sev, have created a cosy little café with outdoor dining under the verandah and a colorful counter inside made from timber. You will find vintage furniture, recycled doors and ceiling art.
Set amongst an industrial setting and at the back of the vintage market, the café serves up some excellent food and coffee. The owners offer a simple fare of home made cakes, rolls and paninis, as well as awesome coffee.
