Travelling is a pastime enjoyed by many, but sometimes the preparation involved can prevent the experience from being as fulfilling as it otherwise would be. It usually takes careful planning, selective budgeting and an expert knowledge base to put together an affordable and stress-free overseas holiday. While tourism books, holidaying websites and travel agencies can provide some of the material needed to plan a successful trip away, travel expo's can also provide a wealth of knowledge and a good starting point for your itinerary.
On Sunday 14 February, future holidaymakers are invited to visit the Geelong Travel & Cruise World Expo, to be held at Novotel Geelong, in conjunction with Geelong Travel, Belmont. Promising to be a comprehensive and informative day, the Expo kicks off from 10am. Four rooms at the hotel have been allocated to the event, with free travel presentations running in each one across the day (in 30 to 40 minute sessions). Representatives from APT, Princess Cruises and Albatross Tours (just to name a few) will explain their packages, and provide money-saving deals to eager travellers. Whether it be cruising along European rivers, travelling around Canada and Alaska, exploring Africa's vast countryside, trekking through South America, or visiting Vietnam, Cambodia and China, there are plenty of travel options available for visitors to the Expo. Scandinavian and New Zealand holidays are also catered for, as well as specialist cruises and unique tours.
Geoff Cox, better known as Coxy from Coxy's Big Break, will be making an appearance, and radio station 3AW will be broadcasting live on the day. Visitors to the Expo also have the chance to win a holiday to Italy with Trafalgar.
