For the gift of a gold coin donation as you pass through the door, lovers of books will gain access into reader Heaven this August courtesy of the Rotary Club of Geelong West. Over 30,000 books have been accumulated, with many supplied by the Geelong Regional Library Corporation and others given generously by members of the surrounding community. With that many books on offer there's sure to be row upon row of titles in every genre of the rainbow; animals, geography, history and arts, cooking, science, non-fiction and fiction - mountains of books in every conceivable size, shape, colour and creed.
But the defining feature setting an ordinary book fair apart from a 'magnificent' book fair is the price, of course. Good, old fashioned, bargain basement value. Here's the part where fellow book lovers get truly excited. All the books at the Geelong Book Fair will be on sale for nothing more than $1. That's right, a dollar a book. Brilliant! How many boxes are you going to fill?
The Geelong Rotary Book Fair will open its cover on Friday 4th August; flicking through the pages of this great sale story until the final page is turned on Sunday 6th August 2017. All proceeds raised through door collection and sales will be used to support the disadvantaged, marginalised and underprivileged members of our society, both locally in Geelong and abroad.
The Geelong Book Fair is being held in the Geelong West Town Hall, 153 Pakington Street, Geelong West courtesy of the Rotary Club of Geelong West from 9am to 5pm on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th August and from 9am to 2pm on Sunday 6th August 2017.
