If you have been searching for the ultimate kid's activity, then breathe a great, big sigh of relief. This is it. Tailor made especially for kids aged 6 to 15 years, the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre are hosting the ultimate, online fun activity with their
Geelong 2 Day Minecraft Camp.
Prepare to lay down your blocks and build some amazing virtual reality worlds and structures at the
Geelong 2 Day Minecraft Camp this June. Steve and all his barnyard friends will be there to welcome you as you learn how to improve and fine-tune your Minecraft skills. But beyond the learning, this is a social interaction that will be heaps and heaps of fun! Kids can meet with other like-minded folk and play to their hearts content.
Minecrafter Camps are fun, safe environments led by experienced, police checked specialists who tailor the day to the skills and experience of the kids attending. And don't worry, they won't spend the entire day looking at a screen. The 'Camp' will be broken up with physical games, designing and creating with paper, some dancing and singing to parodies and discussions about ideas and concepts.
The 'Camp' (because workshop sounds like 'work') includes internet access, and there are computers available to hire. Alternatively, you can bring your own laptop.
Please note: No iPads, sorry. You will need to have a Windows or Mac Laptop to play.
Kids will need to bring a backpack with their own lunch, snacks and water bottle to last the entire day. Just like school, Minecraft Camps are nutfree, so no peanut butter or Nutella or high sugar foods, please.
The Minecraft Camp costs $66 per day and includes a 6-month subscription to the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre's Kid Safe Buddyverse Minecraft Server.
Please note: This is not an overnight camp. However, children are welcome to attend both activity days.
The Geelong 2 Day Minecraft Camp is being held on Saturday 4th June and Sunday 5th June 2016, from 10.30am – 4.30pm at the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, 49-51 Little Malop Street, Geelong.
Registration can be made online by following the

Minecraft Camps are conducted right around Victoria. More information can be found about the other dates and locations on the
