Turf the Xbox for some real life action. GCRC Raceway, located at Arundel on the Gold Coast has everything a trigger happy speed demon could want. Super tracks include off-road racing, drifting and slot cars. If you prefer being behind the wheel then racing simulators may give you the adrenaline rush you crave. There are six racing simulators where you can practice your skills alone before hooking up to racing events with racers from all over the world. These offer a more realistic experience with shakes and bumps when you screw up. It's harder than it looks and extremely addictive.
GCRC Raceway boasts being the biggest indoor off-road clay track in Australia. Their state-of-the-art misting system keeps the clay track at optimum moisture levels and a loop timing system that gives you extra lap times. You can race anything here from short course trucks, stadium trucks, 1/10 2wd and 4wd buggies. You'll need to bring your own wheels for this track. No hires available.

Competitions are held for the keen enthusiasts. A sausage sizzle and snacks are available to keep the energy levels at their peak. The café offers a place to kick back and unwind after an adrenaline pumped session.
If you're new to the race scene, GCRC Raceway has cars for hire. Rates are reasonable and are offered on an hourly rate or a daily combo rate. If you find yourself getting hooked, GCRC Raceway have a fine selection of cars for purchase. You can even build your own car by purchasing a kit, motors, paint and batteries. Why not go all out and gear up with clothing and accessories. GCRC Raceway has it all.

If you're stuck for birthday party ideas, GCRC Raceway caters for that too. For $25 per head (minimum of 4 people) you'll get 2 hours of slot car racing, a sausage sizzle and party invitations printed up and ready to go. For $30 per head (minimum of 4 people) you'll get an extra party bag thrown in. Parents can sit and enjoy snacks and hot or cold drinks at the café, or join in the fun. There's no need to worry about the weather ruining your plans, all the tracks, café and shop is under cover.

If you have a competitive streak and love the thought of racing, head on down to GCRC Raceway. It's a great day out for the whole family, especially on a rainy day. Give your hand/eye coordination skills a try and see how far you can push the limits. It's the only place on the Gold Coast where you won't get booked for speeding, drifting or off-road racing.
