Glistening Gays of Melbourne run events for the gay community not only in Melbourne but all around Victoria. They aim to have a variety of events that are not just limited to the gay scene. The next big event is a in the Dandenong Ranges so check it out, join in and keep fit at the same time as you make new friends.

The walk starts at Ferntree Gully Picnic Ground and it's a 7.25km walk that will take approximately 3 hours. This walk passes through the cool forest of Melbourne and includes the famous 'thousand steps' that takes you through a lush fern gully. This is all going to happen at a laid back pace and it won't cost you anything to come along.


Departure will be from Southern Cross train station to take a train to Ferntree Gully ( Belgrave line ) Be at Southern Cross train station PLATFORM 10 at 10am as the train leaves at 10.10am (in ten minutes). There will be a short walk to the starting point. You will need to bring a packed lunch (champagne is encouraged), water, sunscreen and your Myki card , wearing appropriate clothing and shoes. Weather conditions and park conditions can also be checked before you leave at Parks Victoria .
