Raise a glass of cheer. Gauchito Gil's Malbec Day will soon be here.
This celebration of Argentina's (and possibly the world's) most delicious grape will return to Sydney's Carriageworks on Sunday 14th April 2019, featuring the best Malbec producers from Argentina, France and Australia.
Spread over two sessions: 11am till 3pm and 4pm tll 8pm.
As with previous Revel wine tastings a wine glass to take home is included in the ticket price and with over 90 Malbecs from Australia, Argentina and France available to try, there are literally litres and litres of the smooth red stuff on hand to glide smoothly on down once you've said 'bottoms up". Glasses (and bottles) are available to purchase/mail order. Spittoons are on hand but most remain empty!
However, if we do a little wine maths here: 90 different wines at roughly 2oz a go, considering there's approximately 5oz in a standard glass = a lot of glasses = a merry good time = even more Malbec = a very likely wine coma so, on occasions such as this = it's sometimes cool to spit!
You'll be given the opportunity to vote for the best. (Wine, not spitter).
Gauchito Gil had a reputation for helping the poor and needy. Revel would like to get in on this reputation and are selling tickets for only $63.80 per session. If you consider the cost of the crystal glass, which you get to keep, that's $38.80 each.
The details: General Admission: Day Session 11am 3pm = $63.80 General Admission: Afternoon Session 4pm - 8pm = $63.80
