A cosmic adventure at Cockburn Gateways these school hols
Fancy taking the kids on an intergalactic trip into space? While you wait for public travel to the cosmos to become a reality, you can check out the Gateway to Space school holiday program at Cockburn Gateways Shopping City. It's going to be out of this world!
Gateway to Space will bring the stars and planets down to earth, with events running from Monday, 16 April to Saturday, 28 April, except on Anzac Day on Wednesday, 25 April when the centre will be closed.
Children and the young at heart will have an opportunity to travel through imaginary space with live, intergalactic adventure shows by Lunar Circus, watch cosmic performances by specialist artist Michael Speranza, and gaze up to the galaxies during two stargazing telescope nights on Thursday, 19 April and Thursday, 26 April.
Visitors to Gateways will have the opportunity to check out an Astro Photography exhibition, while the kids can create their very own Thunderbirds space craft to take home. The full breakdown of events is below.
Intergalactic Adventures shows by Lunar Circus
Monday, 16 April to Sunday, 22 April at 11am and 1pm daily (20 minute shows) and located in front of Big W.
Intergalactic fun and fantasy meet comedy acrobatics with Lunar Circus!
Come and be wowed by some bizarre juggling and balancing feats by these talented circus performers.
Thunderbirds Craft Zone
Monday, 23 April to Saturday, 28 April (excluding Anzac Day) between 11am and 2pm daily, located in front of Big W.
Children can colour-in and make a Thunderbirds spaceship to take home.
Astro Photography Exhibition presented by Celestial Visions
Monday, 16 April to Saturday, 28 April during centre opening hours, located near Target.
Come and view this extraordinary collection of 40 cosmic photographs!
Images include astro-landscapes, high-resolution planetary pictures, lunar and solar eclipses and deep space images, all taken by the WA community.
Thursday, 19 April and Thursday, 26 April from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, located in front of Lone Star Rib House.

LED Cosmic voyage performances by Michael Speranza
