If you haven't discovered foodie heaven at Gateway, then now's the time to as their Summer Sessions get underway this January. Every weekend of this first month of 2018, you can enjoy over 25 cafes, restaurants and bars whilst relaxing with some great music and entertainment.

Across 3 light-filled levels, there's something to suit all taste buds with everything from Chat Thai to Four Frogs Creperie, Salt Meats Cheese to Hero Sushi Express, Mad Mex to Burger Project, Schnitz to Hurricane's Grill and Gelato Messina to Zumbo Patisserie. Check out the lemon-coloured log below. It's Zumbo's take on the Opera House and it's filled with mango cremeaux with white chocolate sails adorning the top. He never fails to impress.

The ground floor is where you'll find the food court whilst the upper levels are mostly home to finer dining. You'll also find a barber shop, Flight Centre and an Australian souvenir gift shop. The Paragon Hotel, the Ship Inn and McDonalds are also part of this complex gracing a block between Customs House (bordered by Loftus Street) and Pitt Street. Right opposite Circular Quay train station, it is the perfect location for a quick snack, a dining feast or a tantalising treat.

Various restaurants will be offering a selection of samples and special offers during the summer sessions whilst the adjacent Jessie Street Gardens (at the Loftus Street end of the complex) will be a hub of fun for people of all ages. Some of the best musicians and performing acts in Sydney will entertain you whilst a jumbo game precinct offers giant Chess, Jenga and Connect Four.

A street festival vibe at the front of the complex (in Alfred Street) will also see jugglers, acrobats and various other street performers entertaining onlookers, making it a day out to remember in this prime location of the city.

All the games and entertainment are free for all to take delight in over each weekend as well as on the Friday of Australia Day. The games are available from 11am-4pm whilst the entertainment is from 12pm-3pm.

Normal trading hours for Gateway are Monday-Friday from 7am-late and Weekends from 8am-late. Note the food court and dining floor venues vary in the times they open and close. For further info on times and the full list of eateries, visit the Gateway website here.
