Gasworks Arts Park in conjunction with Blow Up Cinema are set to launch their outdoor cinema. Having received strong support from the local community and media alike, the season will run from 19 February to 9 April 2011. Creative short films will open each screening followed by the feature film of the evening.

The cinema situated on a grassy knoll within Gasworks' lovely park grounds, brings a different atmosphere to other outdoor flick settings. Treat Gasworks Arts Park like your own backyard says their website and they mean it. The space has been set up for a homely backyard and environmental experience. Dogs on leashes are welcome to join the evenings and people arriving on bikes receive discounted tickets - bring your helmet to the box office to receive concession ticket prices. Bike racks are provided.

What to bring: Bring a picnic hamper if you wish and low lying chairs or a blanket. Don't have a chair? Purchase a re-usable folding cardboard chair on the evening. A licensed bar and snack foods are available to patrons .
