Outdoor cinema - bring your bike and your best friend

Gasworks is a delightful little inner city park that I have had the occasion to visit a few times recently for art shows and theatre nights. It's a park with culture!
Adding to that culture is the 2014 season of the Gasworks Backyard Cinema, which is an outdoor cinema event.
There is always something special about getting outside on a summer's night and enjoying a movie, whilst sharing a picnic and a bottle of wine. The box office opens at 7pm but the park is of course open all day. So you can start whenever.
The movie nights are held every Thursday and Friday at dusk from 16 January to 21 February.
This is a bike friendly and dog friendly environment. So yes, you can bring your pooch and to encourage people to ride to this event, cyclists get discounted tickets.. Just show your bike helmet at the Box Office for a discount of $3 off a ticket.
You can buy individual tickets but the best value is the gold pass cinema subscription, which means you can attend as many times as you wish. These cost $60 for a full and $48 concession.
There are some great films on offer from contemporary releases through to cult classics.
