Going to GardenWay is such a treat. Came across this store in Darra by accident this weekend and found it to be a great place to spend a weekend morning. In fact, there are lots of days that would be great to spend here, birthdays, book club days, mum and bub days, Mother's Day, you name it, and it would be a good day to spend time here.
GardenWay is an interesting three-in-one-stop shop. Be prepared to be impressed. GardenWay has all manor of home decorating items, kitchen gadgets, table settings, gifts, ladies clothing and accessories, kids items, gardening supplies, plants, trees, pots, garden statuary and a lovely meal or snack.
As you walk into the store, you may be tempted to go in three different directions at once because there is so much to see! It's a great place to find a gift for someone, a finishing touch to your home decor or a little reward for yourself!
By the time you are done perusing in the gift shop, you will have worked up an appetite. Have a seat and relax at Verdant, the large, garden café next to the water fountain and garden supplies. No worries if it is raining, the cafe` is covered. We had tea and coffee and shared one order of two thick slices of delicious banana bread served with a maple and cinnamon cream.
Verdant is a great place to take the family for a nice weekend brekkie, lunch or afternoon tea together. The menu has the usual egg and breakfast options, yet, they all seem to have a little something extra special, like pumpkin Vienna French toast, tomato relish, pumpkin sourdough bread, or avocado mash.
Lunches look really interesting with a variety of selections that all looked pretty fresh and delicious as we saw people's orders being delivered. (We plan to go back and sample some of the other menu items soon.)
Finish up your visit by strolling through the nice selection of herbs, flowering plants and trees or maybe find some garden art, statues, or large ceramic pots. They have a selection of Bonsai trees and orchids worth investigating as well.
