The Illawarra Grevillea Park is located in Bulli behind the Showground. You could spend all day here weaving in and out of the dirt tracks and exploring the rainforest behind. The Garden is opened 12 days a year and you are best to check their website for details.



Illawarra Rhododendron Gardens are a colourful little gem up the back of New Mount Pleasant Road in Balgownie. This garden is small compared to the Grevillea Garden but is way more colourful. With a nice little pond it is a great place to escape to.



How could you miss a walk through the Wollongong Botanic Gardens ? The 10 hectares of dryland, rainforest, roses, birds, gazebos and awesome picnic spaces is the best way to spend a day. The Gardens are located in Gwynneville beside the University of Wollongong.
