Held on the grounds of historically significant Bolobek, this popular Fair has been curated by The Mount Macedon & District Horticultural Society. You'll find rare plants, specialist nurseries, bespoke handcrafted sculpture, garden furniture, gardening tools and books. Enjoy a wander through the Bolobek gardens, meet the growers and makers, and get inspiration for your next garden project. With some 40 specialist and unique stall holders you're bound to find something of interest.
Guest Speakers on Saturday include Stephen Ryan, President of the Mt Macedon Horticultural Society at 11.30am; Attila Kapitany speaks on the topic of succulents at 1.30pm and a garden tour at 2.30pm with Brigid Robertson and Chris Williams. Sunday's speakers are Karen Sutherland on tomatoes at 11am, Rosemary Davies on Gardens and birds of the Macedon Ranges at 12pm and Chris England at 1.30pm on the topic of Garden Demonstrations. The Garden Tour will be the same as the Saturday.
Also running the same weekend is the Artanica - A Botanic Art Exhibition also at Macedon, at the Golf Club. It's the inaugural botanic art exhibition of the Mt Macedon Horticultural Society.
Other events on the same day (5 Oct) close by and just under 8kms away at Woodend that may be of interest is the Rocktoberfes with its Gernan inspired beer at the Victoria Hotel from 6.30-10.30pm. The October Woodend Farmer's Market runs from 9am to 1pm with live music, entertainment and fresh produce.
