Sell your unwanted goods for cold hard cash and have fun
With words like 'hyper-local' and 'peer-to-peer exchange of assets', the national Garage Sale Trail (GST) sounds like it means business. It's really all about having a garage sale in your own backyard simultaneously with hundreds of other like-minded sellers across the country. It's a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted items or use GST's 'Sale Finder' map to bag some great bargains.

The GST started in 2010 in Bondi and was such a huge success that it was rolled out Nationally the very next year. If you want to think outside the box, you could consider a pop-up-shop or art show, bike sale or add a backyard band and a BBQ to your sale to draw the crowds! There are over 7.4 million garages across Australia, wouldn't it be amazing if there was a garage sale for the trail in each one?
This is a great way to connect with your neighbours and community by inviting them to have sales of their own or join in on yours to lighten the load. Getting involved with a group of people could mean you have a lot to sell and a lot of pulling power with combined friends, family and social media to get people along to your event.
