This sounds like heaps of fun! The Garage Sale Trail is Australia’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt, with more than 400,000 Australians expected to hit the streets in the search for pre-loved bargains. With garage sales, thrift markets, car boot sales, suitcase rummages, swap meets and street parties to be held, Australia-wide, over two weekends in November, the Garage Sale Trail is the destination for all things pre-loved, to be sold or swapped.



Already there are over one million pre-loved items listed for sale and more than 5,000 events scheduled to happen across the country. All kinds of communities get involved - from CWA’s hosting sales with a side of scones; vintage and designer fashion collectors parting with their much-loved archives; libraries selling top reads and sporting clubs shifting sports gear cheaply.



WHAT IS SO DIFFERENT ABOUT THE GARAGE SALE TRAIL?
The Garage Sale Trail is FREE and anyone can get involved, whether you’re a household, community group, a whole street, a school or even a local business. Setting up a Garage Sale Trail listing takes less than five minutes, but a good garage sale will live on in the memories of your neighbours forever.



Sellers can host a garage sale any weekend of the year, but there are many reasons why being a part of the Garage Sale Trail makes things just a little bit more special. Read on, to find out why.

HOW DO I REGISTER A GARAGE SALE?
Setting up your garage sale is a simple process that takes no more than five minutes. Once you've completed the online registration, you get a free listing on the national map (viewed over 2 million times in the lead up to the event) plus stacks of free promotional materials, sale tips and more.

From the everyday essentials you need, to the pre-loved gems you want, the Garage Sale Trail is the nation’s biggest secondhand treasure hunt. Shoppers will be excited to know that anything and everything gets listed on the Garage Sale Trail, from vintage fashion to cookware, to vinyl, kids stuff and so much more.



With more than 3 million items up for grabs over the two big weekends in November, there’s a bargain for everyone and it’s all happening on the two weekends of the 9th and 10th and 16th and 17th November. Head to the national map here to search for sales and items near you and create a trail of favourites you wish to visit.



Sales get added every day in the lead up to the big weekends so make sure to check back regularly, or sign up to the mailing list, to make sure to get reminders and notifications when new sales get added near you.

Dates: Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November AND Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th November
Times: Most garage sales run from 9am – 2pm. The organisers recommend sticking to these golden hours.
