National Adoption Day is on Saturday 8th May 2021 and it is a great time to think about adopting a fur buddy for your household. Think about making a fast friend for life by adopting a Greyhound.

Apart from the Greyhounds, who are bred for show rings, most Greyhounds come from a life on the racetrack but once adopted, they make excellent pets and easily adapt to new home environments. When you adopt a Greyhound , you are also giving them a second chance at life.

If you are looking for a laid back, gentle, clean and affectionate, low maintenance dog, which is also good for apartments, then the Greyhound is right for you. These dogs are trusting, very social and good-natured. As they do run fast, you need to have them on a leash when out walking.

Greyhounds As Pets SA is hosting a on 8th May 2021 at the Greyhounds As Pets Office, 55 Cardigan Street, Angle Park from 11.00am to 1.00pm.

Although this event is FREE to attend, you need to register through Eventbrite. Registrations are filling fast, so do not wait another day before registering your intent to attend as numbers are limited.

Stalls and activities will be held throughout the day along with a door prize for the best dressed Greyhound. Chris McDermott, who is the inaugural Crows Captain and Chairman of our Charity Partner, Little Heroes Foundation will be the judge.

See you there!
