Support farmers and locals with your Christmas money
If you're the kind of person that likes leaving your Christmas gift and food shopping until the last minute then the special twilight night at The Gap Farmers' markets on Tuesday 23 December might be just for you.
So far there are almost 70 stalls booked in for the evening with a mix of fresh produce and craft stalls. There is always a great range of food at The Gap markets and this night will be no different with delicious meats, fresh seafood, fresh pasta, free-range eggs, fresh breads, organic food, spices and delicious ready to eat food and coffee.
Beautiful Fresh Produce
If you have already finished your Christmas gift shopping then you can reward yourself with a nice night out with free entertainment for yourself and the kids. There will be live music and other entertainment, a petting zoo and craft activities for the kids. So bring a picnic rug so that enjoy the atmosphere in comfort.
What is even better is that these markets are a not for profit initiative by the Gap Residents Association. Proceeds for the markets will support local charities, including Ashgrove Meals on Wheels. So you know that every dollar you spend will go back into the local community.
If this sounds good to you then you can also head to the regular farmers' markets at The Gap. The next one will be held on Sunday 14 from 6-11. See the [LINK=http://www.thegapfarmers.com.au/calendar/]website/LINK] for the calendar of market days.
