Picnic in the gardens of Galston, a breath of fresh air
For a hit of the countryside and a fabulous day amongst the gum trees, get to Galston, on the western outskirts of Sydney. Eight stunning gardens, all on large acreage, will be open 9.30am - 4.30pm over three days, with all proceeds going to a wide range of charities.
A $20 ticket gives you access to all gardens and can be spread across the three days. NO pre-booking is needed and tickets can be purchased from any of the gardens. You'll be given a map and brochure, which will also detail where you can purchase food and drinks.
Better still, bring a picnic lunch and rug and plonk yourself in the shade of a sprawling jacaranda. For inspiration and relaxation, nothing beats a garden.
