If you want some exercise paired with fun, then come to Galston Recreation Reserve on 11 August with family and friends for a social run filled with colour, foam cannons and obstacles to manoeuvre in and around.
Of course, you don't have to run if you don't want to. You can walk the course if you're more comfortable doing that.
Wear white on the day and be prepared to be sprayed with a rainbow of coloured powder (non-toxic) as you move through the 3km course of this fun-filled event, from 10.30am until 1.30pm. A shorter course is available for younger children and those with disabled/special needs.
A barbecue at the end will be provided by Dural Scouts. There will also be some fabulous food and beverage stalls as well, along with lots of market stalls.
Presented by Galston Rotary, entry fee is $25 per adult, $20 per student/child (6-18yrs), $15 per disability/special needs persons and $50 per family/team of 4. Colour run T-shirts are also available for purchase at $25 each and make for a nice memento of your experience. Tickets are via Trybooking. All funds raised will go towards Youth Insearch, who provide vital lifesaving help to young people in crisis.
Parking can be found on the side of Galston Road and in the car park behind the cricket field. Other facilities at the reserve include toilets, picnic tables, a playground and a walking/cycling path that links to skateboard ramps and a skate bowl.
