The Gallipoli Run has huge significance for all Australians. It's a reminder of the sacrifices made by Australian servicemen and women in World War 1, and it celebrates the end of the war. Sunday 28 April 2019 from 8am to 11am at May Drive Parkland, May Drive, Kings Park is where you can commemorate the service of these legendary men and women by playing a physical and active role.
Be part of the 4km or 8km course through scenic Kings Park, running along Lovekin Drive, past the memorials of those who died at War. Hosted by Athletics WA, a not-for-profit organisation, all funds raised will be donated to the WA RSL, Legacy WA and athlete development. All those who finish will be presented with a commemorative medal donated by The Perth Mint.
A worthy recipient, WA RSL has a proud tradition of serving current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and its allies. They assist and care for serving and ex-serving ADF personnel and their dependents who are in need of help be it physically or mentally. Legacy WA is dedicated to caring for the families of deceased and incapacitated veterans.
