Upcycled clocks, spoons and cheese graters make great art
Bec Peart and Martin Pedder are showcasing their incredible upcycled metal and found object artworks which are both hung and freestanding pieces at an exhibition at Handmade High Street beginning 3rd October. With a range from the very tiny to the immense, their artworks are reminiscent of steam punk and old world influences.
Winners of the 2013 Tip Shop Competition, the duo are taking Brisbane by storm with their unique and inimitable style. Previous works include the beautiful Junkalina and Her Clockingbird, teacup lamp stands and clockwork jewellery and accessories.
On the opening night they will have a range of larger pieces for purchase and while they won't remain for the duration of the exhibition, you will be able to return to purchase any of their smaller pieces throughout the duration of the show. A new piece 'Buzz' which can be seen on the flier is an angelic apparatus piece which is a complete showstopper.
