I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
The Gabriel Motor Inn is a convenient place to stay when travelling the Hume Highway between Sydney and Melbourne. Take the Sheridan Street exit off the Humme Highway and arrive at your accommodation in a couple of minutes. There is off street parking and the deluxe 4 star rooms have undercover spaces.
The Gabriel Motor Inn is conveniently situated on the main street of Gundagai adjacent to the local services club, a Woolworths supermarket and BWS liquor store. Across the road there is the tourist information centre in a nice park and a bakehouse, cafes and a couple of hotels are a short walk up the street.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and contain all the necessary items for an overnight stay. They have Queen beds, air conditioning, a large ensuite, tea making facilities, a toaster, wardrobe, iron, hairdryer, TV with Austar and free Wi Fi. The single storey motel has wheelchair access, no pets allowed, reception is staffed from 8:00am to 10:00pm and you settle your account on arrival.
There was no traffic noise, but on the hot evening we were there it was a popular place with road trippers socialising on the outside veranda.
