Well, this is it. The final weekend of the G20 Cultural Celebration is here and we need one more big push at enjoying ourselves at these free spectaculars. This weekend, 14 to 16 November, 2014, will see a great free family event offering a wide range of entertainment, sporting activities and markets in parks across Brisbane as the finale of the G20 Cultural Celebrations.

While we have thousands of international visitors in our midst for the G20 Leaders' Summit, Brisbane locals are encouraged to spend the long weekend celebrating their own communities at one of the suburban Great Get Togethers taking place at Chermside, Seventeen Mile Rocks, Sandgate and Wynnum.

These four community events offer a wide range of free family-friendly entertainment including circus workshops, kite making, community garden presentations, live music and sporting activities and markets. The Great Get Together events are to celebrate Brisbane's lifestyle and to give our communities the opportunity to gather together and enjoy the free entertainment in the amenity of their local parklands.

The timings are slightly spread out so you might be able to take in a few Great Get Togethers if you can propose and implement a precision plan to perfection.

See how you go; here is an overview of the Great Get Togethers being held over the long weekend (14 – 16 November). For more details have a look at the G20 Cultural Celebrations website.

1. Friday 14 November from 2.00pm until 6.00pm - Seventh Brigade Park, Chermside
Enjoy an afternoon of free entertainment including cricket matches, cultural games and music with live performances by Wakka Gubbi Dance group and break dance battles. DJ Bacon will be providing music as you join in breakdance competitions and workshops, giant games and craft workshops. You will also be able to challenge yourself to the Girl Guides obstacle course.

2. Saturday 15 November from 4.00pm until 8.00pm - Einbunpin Lagoon, Sandgate
This special twilight event at Einbunpin Lagoon includes a silent disco with DJ Bacon, supported by live music by Griffin, Ange Takats, The View From Madeleine's Couch and The Melotonins. There will also be indie markets and amazing art installations created by the local community.

3. Sunday 16 November from 9am-1pm - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Children will be entertained by circus workshops, kite-making, inflatable soccer matches with Brisbane Roar and cubby building. While for Mum and Dad there will be community garden presentations and markets. To add to the family fun there will also be live music from the Phoncurves, Miss Elm and Vulcana and dance performances.

**4. Sunday November 16 from 4.00pm until 8.00pm - Wynnum Wading Pool, Wynnum
**Indulge in gourmet treats while listening to live music by Laique, Sugarshakers, Band of Frequencies, and Brisbane Brass along the waterfront. Wander with playful performers and enjoy the art and sculpture installations.

These Great Get Togethers will give the final touch to all those wonderful memories of a fortnight when Brisbane really put on a show where every one of us found something to smile about and when we all wished it would never end.

But it must so what better way to end off the G20 Cultural Celebrations than in one, or all, of these Great Get Togethers.
