Will there be a flying saucer?
Conservation SA are holding a Future Transport Festival Family Fun Day at The Joinery in Adelaide on Sunday October 25. The Future Transport Festival is an opportunity to learn more about sustainable transport trends for the future, and how we can help the environment by taking advantage of them.
The free Family Fun Day will let you see first hand new transport technology, find out more about driverless vehicles, and have your say about the future of transport in Adelaide.
Find out about the benefits of electric vehicles, and see whether they may be practical for you. Take a test drive of the new technology, ride free between the Future Transport Festival hub and the World Solar Challenge in Victoria Square on an EcoCaddy bamboo hybrid-electric passenger tricycle. If you have an electric vehicle take advantage of free parking on site (registration required).
There will be heaps of free things to do, with activities for kids, live music entertainment, and some very tasty food offerings. Join in Come and Try areas, listen to guest speakers, see solar cars and find plenty to see and do for all ages, so come and enjoy a great day out and find out where our transport is heading.
Only limited information about the Future Transport Festival is available at time of writing, so check the website for more details. The Joinery is located on the site of the former Central Bus Station in Adelaide.
