The FUSE Glass Prize finalist exhibition is a stunning showcase of 18 outstanding glass artworks.
The biennial has seen works come from all across Australia and New Zealand with the final 18 being included in the exhibition which will run until the 16th of September 2018 across 2 venues - in Adelaide and again in the Barossa Valley. It is Australasia's richest glass art prize with the first prize of $20,000.
The light-filled, spacious gallery at the
Jam Factory provides a beautiful space to show the glass artworks off to the public. Each and every piece is elegantly displayed and descriptive artist statements accompany the works.
Winners were announced recently and both of the top honours went to South Australian artists. The top spot was won by Jessica Loughlin with her piece "Receptor of Light", and Ursula Halpin won the Emerging Artist category with her piece "Naire orthu".
The exhibition will be at the Jam Factory on Morphett Street in the City from 18th May to 8th July, then it will move to the
Jam Factory at Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley from the 17th of July to the 16th of September. Entry is free.
The Jam Factory's Glass Studio is the longest running hot glass facility in Australia and one of the largest and best-equipped studios in the Southern Hemisphere.
