Apart from eBay and Gray's Online, there is a furniture auction house in Hoppers Crossing where you can go and view the furniture items on auction every Sunday prior. Viewing times at
Furniture Crazy Auctions are held between 10am-4pm every Friday and Saturday before the items are auctioned off the following Sunday at 11am with all items at around 70% off the recommended retail price. It is advisable to ring ahead in advance and ask any further questions on delivery terms and so on before attending. And best to confirm the time as well. They also now hold auctions in Clayton and Croydon. The
Casey Auction Group also conduct auctions on a Sunday commencing at 9:30am.
Otherwise to find a furniture auctioneer a little more closer to home, then please feel free to check out the
directory of furniture auctions in Victoria. Might be a good website to refer to in the future.
If auctions aren't your cup of tea, then you can always check out Vinnes and garage sales for cheap (and sometimes quality) furniture, or if you are a renter go and rent a fully furnished home instead; otherwise rent furniture from places such as Radio Rentals. Otherwise you can also read on sourcing second hand furniture by clicking
here. Go for it.
