Saturday night at Max Watts Melbourne was electrifying with a stellar line-up of Jude Perl and Discovery: Australia's Daft Punk Tribute Experience to get the party started with classic dance hits like #AroundtheWorld and #OneMoreTime. The Gen X-Y crowd was one crazy moshpit celebrating the #Sweet Dreams of #TeenSpirit in a high energy, glameratzi dance party.
Furnace (lead vocalist) Marcus (Bass), Mike (Drums), Digby(Taps), Pluto(Keys) are the quintessential prom night crazy quirky boy band, dedicated to sharing the love of 80-90s music to the world. Opening with Tina Turner's hit #You'reSimplytheBest sporting sequins jackets and high school prom black ties we bounced to mashes of Rocky's #EyeoftheTiger and Beyonce's #CrazyRightNow.
Discovery: Australia's Daft Punk Tribute Experience
From #Teenage Dirtbag by Weiner to #JumpAround from the Mrs Doubtfire film, this was a party to end all parties. Surprisingly, my favourite song of the night was acapella folk #SoundsofSilence by Art Garfunkel, followed by Ginuwine's #Pony and Adele's #RollingintheDeep.
Furnace and the Fundamentals have the right mix of sexy, geeky and cool with a touch of ADHD and everything you ever wanted to remember about your teens. But don't delay – see them in Sydney before they head to London, or catch them in Edinburgh!
