An Irish Goodbye is a 23-minute long Oscar® Nominated short film with all the hallmarks of excellence that got it nominated in the first place. Set in rural Northern Ireland, estranged brothers Turlough and Lorcan reunite when their mother passes. Turlough just wants to sell up everything, send his brother Lorcan with Down Syndrome to go live with an aunt and go back to his life. Lorcan wants to stay in the only home he's ever known, but realistically can't cope with all the responsibilities entailed. Upon discovering an unfulfilled bucket list belonging to their late mum - it takes them on a completely different journey.

Come along to the fundraiser screening of this short film on Sunday 2 April 2023 from 4pm to 5.30pm at ACMI in the city at Fed Square, corner Swanston and Flinders Streets. The screening will be followed by an interview with the film's star James Martin and Impact21 Graduate and fellow actor Shea MacDonough. Get your $21 tickets here.. Ticket costs will be donated to Inclusion Foundation to support young people with Down Syndrome preparing for the workforce.
