Retro, vintage and pre-loved bargains
We all know Melburnians love their fashion and the city has a reputation for always being in style. There is nothing better than picking up a bargain and Melbourne charity Avalon Centre is giving you that chance – while helping out the city's homeless.
There ares hundreds of items for people to browse through such as evening wear, suits, accessories, shoes, handbags and more.
The idea for a fashion fundraiser came about after the charity was receiving lots of items that were unsuitable for the homeless such as evening gowns, suits and jewellery.
The centre has always promised that all donations go directly to those who need it, therefore selling these items and buying warm clothing and bedding instead is a great way to help those in need. Winter is only going to get colder and colder, so the need is increasing hugely.
There will also be a special fashion raffle on the day, and all money raised will go into buying much-needed necessities for those in need. It will help keep the buses on the road, so Avalon can continue to distribute clothing and bedding to the homeless and asylum seekers. Come on down to Avalon Centre, 1936 Malvern Road, East Malvern to grab a bargain.
