Learn to Surf Safely with the Loveable Smurfs
Here in Australia summer-time is synonymous with having fun at the beach and this is particularly the case on the Gold Coast where some of the country's most beautiful beaches are situated. However, although our laid-back outdoor lifestyle is undoubtedly enviable, hazards do exist and therefore it's imperative that we, and our children, are aware of how to stay safe when we're in the surf. Therefore, just to point us in the right direction, the North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club will be holding its Summer Smurf School on Friday, January 10th from 8.00am until 10.00am.

This special surf-safety program has been tailor-made for children, and will also coincide with the release of The Smurfs 2 on DVD, Blue-ray and Ultraviolet. While friendly and fully-qualified surf-lifesavers will be conducting the presentation, the presence of the loveable Smurfs will make the event extra appealing for even the youngest kids.
Burleigh Heads is the perfect place for kids to learn about surf safety.
As well as being a fun, informative and child-friendly presentation, this Fun with The Smurfs event will also include the distribution of free Smurfs goodies, while stocks last. Therefore, be sure that you get there early so your child doesn't miss out.
In conclusion, Fun with The Smurfs promises to be a fabulous family-friendly day out that children of all ages will enjoy and benefit from. Since it starts quite early why not make a day of it on the coast, and after the event enjoy a movie, leisurely stroll through the nearby Burleigh Heads National Park or a picnic on the foreshore? As well as promising to be heaps of fun, this event is totally free of charge: rare indeed in this age of sophisticated and expensive children's entertainment. Therefore, for a beaut morning of affordable kid-friendly fun, be sure to mark this event into your family's school holiday event diary.
