Mad March might be over but there is still an amazing array of events for your to entertain yourself and the kiddies with this Easter. Here are my top picks for 2017!

Friday
Who doesn't like Lego!
Brick-a-laide is Adelaide's most exciting Lego Fan Event and will once again be held on Easter Weekend from Friday 14 - Saturday 15 April 2017 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

There are heaps of exhibits for you to view and then head to the games area where you can access traders and buy your favourite bricks and accessories or relax at the Brick Cafe.

This is a sell-out event, so it is advisable to buy your tickets
online before the day however tickets will be available at the door until sold out. Tickets at the door are general admission 16 years old and over $14, 2 - 15 years $9 and children under 2 are free.
Online tickets are general admission 16 years old and over $12, 2 - 15 years $7 and children under 2 free (plus $4.95 booking fee). This year there are Sensory Friendly Sessions available, however you must book online for these. Pricing for these sessions is the same as online ticket purchase, please see the website for more information.
Saturday
The
Meadows Easter Fair held at the Meadows Memorial Hall, Mawson Road, Meadows runs from 9 am to 4 pm from Friday 14 April to Monday 17 April and with approximately 100 stalls inside and outside, there is something here for everyone, young and old.

You can choose from craft, collectables, produce, plants, bulbs and so much more! There will be a wide variety of food and with picnic areas easily accessible, you can come along and find your favourite treat, pick a spot and just spend some time with friends and family while watching the world go by.

Special attractions for the kiddies include a native animal nursery, face painting and even a jumping castle.

Sunday
If music, food, wine and fun all sound like a perfect combination, why not take a drive to
Shottesbrooke Winery and Cellar Door on Easter Sunday? Located at 101 Bagshaws Road, McLaren Flat, Shottesbrooke Winery and Cellar Door will once again host an afternoon of cool tunes and amazing food from 11 am to 5 pm.

The thought of spending the afternoon in the garden, sipping wine and listening to live music sounds delightful and this is one event you can also bring along the kiddies. Entertainment for the little ones includes face painting and a huge sandpit!

Tickets are $15 adults and include a take home Spiegelau wine glass; children 2 and over are $5 and they will be provided with an Easter activity pack to keep them happy once they are finished in the sand pit. Bookings are essential and available at

Monday
After all that fun over the weekend, try something a bit more sedate today and take the kids to see the Alice in Wonderland sand sculptures at Port Noarlunga Esplanade (off Clarke Street), Port Noarlunga.

Open daily from 9 am (14 – 30 April 2017), 7 Australian and 3 international sand sculptors have depicted Lewis Carroll's enduring children's classic Alice in Wonderland. Scenes such as the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, Flamingo Croquet and the Queen of Hearts Procession. These classic scenes will come to life as you follow Alice through the Hall of Locked Doors and down the rabbit hole into Wonderland.

Integrated with the sculptures is a full range of children's activities including sand sculpting workshops, face painting, a children's activity sheet and the family game zone.
Snack food such as ice cream, fairy floss, lollipops, chips and coffee is available inside the event or visit the wonderful food options available in the main town of Port Noarlunga before or after your visit.

Even better, come over the Easter long weekend and your entry fee includes the #sandsational Easter Egg Hunt where all children receive a bag of eggs. Tickets can be purchased
online with general admission adult $10, children $5 and a family pass is available at $25 for 2 adults and 2 children (3 – 15 years).
Parking is available in Port Noarlunga town with behind the life saving club being the best and closest option.
