Get out, get fit and start running
Want to compete in your first fun run but daunted by the prospect of a large field of competitors? Wanting to try a different race? Then try something local where you will enjoy the local atmosphere, cheaper entry fees or try a distance you have never tried before.
Local fun runs are a chance to support local communities who provide these races to encourage health and fitness in the local community, assist in building up community spirit and also to fund raise. More often these are annual events that get a lot of traction and support in their first year, and continue due to their overwhelming responses. They can be a highlight of your racing year as these events also encourage family participation.
