It wasn't peak summers and it wasn't too cold when we thought was just the right time to explore some fun activities at Manly. Me and my lab group decided to do the exhilarating kayak activity at Manly and paddle away some extra calories, followed by a nice pot luck lunch near the beach.
The idea was to have a safe yet adventurous and not very expensive water sport and we started the day with hiring the manly kayaks which was just $20 an hour to Kayak the Sydney Harbour. We started from Circular Quay and took the Manly Ferry from the wharf to witness the great scenery through the waters.
The Opera House, Harbour Bridge and the blue waters are just never enough to look at and admire the beauty that Sydney has. Clicking away the half an hour ferry ride we reached Manly wharf and walked towards the Manly Kayaks.
After we reached the Manly Kayaks, all excited to get into the Kayaks and do some serious rowing.
The friendly staff took us through the do's and don'ts of the technique (which was certainly straightforward) and provided us with the equipment after which we started the fun rowing away from the sands.
The competition then started among the different pairs within our group on the four different kayaks and was an enjoyable experience for us. We reached the other side in about 1.5 hours and paddled back after a ten minute relaxing respite and reached back to where we started from.
Our worked out and refreshed bodies then went starving and we changed and sat down for the yummy pot luck lunch.
What else could you wish for on a sunny weekend? Just the perfect day ended with a few drinks at the Manly wharf bar. So if you'd like to enjoy the amusing activity yourself please see Manly Kayaks and checkout the hiring charges. And remember to bring your
