This summer, Gizmo Cats - Educating the Innovators of the Future, invites boys, girls, parents and adults to engage with the science and technology behind our everyday devices.
Choose from a fascinating range of awesome school holiday activities for ages 7 and up! Mums and Dads are also welcome to participate in some of the hands-on workshops too!
From as little as $28, you can learn about electronics and coding in the Physical Computing workshop or spend a day learning How Computers Work by uncovering basic computer binary logic, electronic circuits and basic computer programming as a family.
For those who want to immersive themselves in the world of electronics and coding, there is an interactive 5 Day Workshop during the January school holidays. Over 5 fun-filled days, attendees will build physical systems through the use of software and hardware that can sense and respond to the real world!
Attendees can then continue developing skills by joining the After School Term 1 - Coding/Programming & Electronics Course or other courses for both kids and adults like the How Computers Work. All workshops are held in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere and no prior experience or skills are required.
With Gizmo Cats, attendees will gain a diverse skills set and a passion for all things technology. Check out what's on and the full curriculum at gizmocats.eventbrite.com.au or on Facebook.com/GizmoCats/events
"Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again."
Steve Jobs (1955 - 2011), Founder of Apple, Next and Pixar
Early bookings are advised as places are limited per session.
All workshops will be held at Thinklab, 51-57 Market Street, Fremantle, WA 6160, right on the Cappuccino Strip just 3 blocks from train station.
