[ADVERT]I grew up on an Island, where there was one corner store and about 1300 residents. You could say my imagination became my best friend. Now that I'm older and live a busier lifestyle, I don't remember the last time I was bored. However, this could be due to the traits I grew up with. I always find something fun to do, even when I'm busy saving.

1. Play with your pet (or buy a pet to play with, if you don't already have one, personal opinion best investment) . Remember when they were a kitten/puppy and all you wanted to do was stay home and play with them? Well it can still be like that when they are older too. My Jack Russel is 7 years old and I can still play with him for hours. Plus this means a happier pet and bonding time together.

2. Embrace your surroundings. I live on the Gold Coast, so I hang out at the local beaches, lakes and my own pool, which are all fun and free activities.

3. Enter free online competitions. There is a thrill to entering online competitions and you never know, you could start winning loads of awesome prizes!

4. Do something creative. Start a scrap booking album or buy a blank canvas and let your creative flare run wild.

5. Go on a walk with friends. It's a relaxed way to staying healthy, catching up with mates and saving money all in one!

6. Have a DVD day or night. Rent out 4 TV shows or movies that you have wanted to see for ages and veg out.

7. Go to a BYO restaurant.. By doing this you are eliminating the ridiculous over charge restaurants put on their alcohol, and having a jolly time with friends.

8. Help someone out. It may be your partner needing more help domestically or your mother wanting the lawn mowed. This will make you feel great and at the same time you are making someone's day

9. Start achieving that goal. Most of us have a goal we want to achieve, but get too overwhelmed to even begin or haven't let themselves have time to start. My goal for years was to start a blog, only problem was, I never put time into it...until I did. Now it's one of my funniest hobbies, that I'm constantly building upon.

10. Join a fitness group. I'm so pro exercise, because it helps in so many factors of your life. You can make friends, feel great about yourself and put the elements like determination and will power you get from this, into other parts of your life. Plus, loads of programs and clubs are cheap to join (sometimes even free) if you do your research.
