Are you looking for some creative fun bundled in with personal insight? Check this out.

Art Therapy classes held at the Bribie Island Community Art Centre are not to be missed. I was reassured that artistic ability was not required thank goodness, as I have no artistic talent.

Kathy Rodwell

With guidance from Cathy, our Art Therapist, I was able to tap into hidden subconscious information to help me understand where I am at in life. Cathy helped me unscramble simple solutions, while I was having fun being creative and thoroughly enjoying the class.

The class were all very motivated by what we learned and had creatively expressed about ourselves. It enabled us to express our unknown self, explore feelings, relax and release stress while having fun being creative. One young teenager talked about the relief she felt at being able to find a way to release and let go of her stress. Cathy is very passionate about helping others to express their creativity to help them discover insight to help with positive change.

Art Therapy

Cathy is the owner of Mindlink Hypnotherapy, a well-established business on Bribie Is. Her qualifications are in Art Therapy, Teaching, Counselling and Hypnotherapy.

The art centre has a gorgeous deck where we were able to hang out after class and share our experiances. The cafe serves coffee to die for and the chef served up delicious food from a menu that caters for all tastes. The pianist set the scene to relax under the shady trees. It was easy to spend another hour just enjoying the variety of artworks on display.

This is not the first time I've seen programmes for art as a therapy. It has great merit.
