Our health care workers are the frontline in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. Our health care workers (who also have loved ones and responsibilities) are showing up to treat those in need.
For those not in essential services, the best way to help is to stay at home, so why not donate the money you would have spent on a coffee to shout one for them? From as little as $5 you can make this gesture of goodwill and shout a coffee for a nurse, doctor, administrator or orderly in Western Australia.
The simple things are often the best and most people would agree how transformative a simple cuppa can be for relieving some stress and taking a few moments out to recharge.
The Australian Medical Association of WA (AMA WA) are administering the program called Fuelling the Frontline and you can make a secure donation on their website from the comfort of your couch. Simply click here to visit the AMA WA website and shout a coffee (or several). A receipt will be provided.
This campaign also has the backing of the WA Health Minister. Initially, the campaign will be rolled out where there are intensive care units and COVID clinics - which means coffee shops in Fiona Stanley, Royal Perth and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospitals. If more money is raised the program can be broadened to other hospital coffee shops.
