Feeling Fruity?
The Fruits of The Yarra Valley Festival will be held at Rayner's Orchard on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 February 2019, between 9am and 4pm.

Head to the beautiful Yarra Valley and enjoy a day of fruity fun, filled with activities. Jump on the tractor for a tour of the orchard that grows around 450 varieties of fruit, with at least 8 varieties available every day of the year. You'll learn about some of the farming practices used and have plenty of opportunities to taste fresh fruit straight from the tree.

Take a fruit tasting adventure tour and pick your own fruit under the guidance of the experts to ensure your fruit is at its prime. Or visit the farm gate shop to purchase fresh fruit, jams, local berries, chutneys, relishes and heaps of other delicious products to take home.

The following fruits, with their many varieties, are at their prime in February and should be available:

Plums
Peaches
Nectarines
Apricots

Stop by and check out the local blacksmiths, who will be holding demonstrations of their craft. Feeling hungry? Enjoy a sausage sizzle or stop by the Peach Café for some delicious farm-style food and beverages. Traditional Devonshire teas (with home-made jams of course), fruity desserts and fruit ice cream will all be available.

For the kids, there will be plenty of fun entertainment, including a kids activity zone with pony rides, baby animals and more.

There is also a fruit tree nursery on site, with a large range of fruiting plants for sale. They will be able to provide you with expert advice on what varieties will suit your environment and answer any questions you may have on how to grow them.

Rayner's Orchard is located in Woori Yallock, a gorgeous town in the Yarra Ranges. It is approximately 56 kilometres East of Melbourne's CBD. They open every day (except for Christmas Day) from 9am – 5pm.
