Fruit Bottling Workshops

Preserving fruit is a time-honoured skill that is immensely satisfying. It opens up culinary doors and every season brings something new and exciting to preserve. All foods have a natural shelf life, but effective preserving methods can successfully halt these processes and make foods safe and delicious to eat all year round. Preserves also make great gifts for family and friends!

At Rayner's Stonefruit Orchard, you can learn the skill of preserving fruit by attending one of their Fruit Bottling Workshops. They run 2 workshops a day, all year round, at 9:30am and 1pm for up to 3 hours a session during which time you can learn the art of preserving and get a chance to bottle many delicious fruits straight from the orchard.

Bottled Fruit

Kids learn for free!

The workshops cost $45 per person and kids are free if accompanied by two or more adults (you just have to pay $4.50 for each bottle they use).

What you get from the workshop:

Expert advice and instruction on bottling techniques
Fresh fruit from the Orchard to bottle
As many bottles and fruit as you want!

Rayner's Peach Café

While you're there you can enjoy a cuppa and scones, with Rayner's own jams, or some of their homemade peach and blueberry pie.
The café also serves delicious meals and desserts, and also caters for vegetarians.

Why not join one of their Orchard Fruit Adventure Tours?

Rayner's Orchard Tours run every day at 9am and 4pm. Just jump on the tractor and take a tour through the fabulous groves of stone fruit trees.

You can also buy fresh fruit picked daily, homemade jams, relishes and bottled fruits.
